Please note - although this bat is part of my Little Animals collection,(found here) it will fit into very few of the clothes due to the wings on it.

You will need:
- A 2.5mm crochet hook
- Dk yarn in black
- A scrap of white 4-ply yarn
- Toy stuffing
- A darning needle or similar
For the head and body (starting from the base):
Make a magic loop with 6sc
Round 1: 2sc in each st (12sc)
Round 2: sc in the first st, 2sc in the next st, rep to end (18sc)
Round 3: sc in the first 2 sts, 2sc in the next st, rep to end. ch1, turn (24sc)
Rounds 4 - 8: (5 rounds) sc in each st (24sc)
Round 9: sc in the first 2 sts, sc2tog, rep to end (18sc)
Round 10: sc in the first st, sc2tog, rep to end (12sc)
Round 11: sc in the first st, sc2tog, rep to end (8sc)
Rounds 12 - 13: (2 rounds) sc in each st (8sc)
Round 14: 2sc in each st (16sc)
Round 15: sc in each st
Round 16: sc in the first 3 sts, 2sc in the next st, rep to end (20sc)
Round 17: sc in each st
Round 18: sc in the first 4 sts, 2sc in the next st, rep to end (24sc)
Rounds 19 - 20: (2 rounds) sc in each st
Round 23: sc in the first 2 sts, sc2tog, rep to end (18sc)
Round 24: sc in the first st, sc2tog, rep to end (12sc)
Round 25: sc2tog to end (6sc)
Fasten off
For the wings (make 2):
Make a magic loop with 2sc, ch1, turn
Row 1: 2sc in the first st, sc in the next st. ch1, turn (3sc)
Row 2: sc in the first 2 sts, 2sc in the last st. ch1, turn (4sc)
Row 3: sc in each st. ch1, turn
Row 4: 3sc in the first st, sc in the next 2 sts, 2sc in the last st (7sc)
Row 5: sc in the first 6sts, 3sc in the last st (9sc)
Make a magic loop with 2sc, ch1, turn
Row 1: 2sc in the first st, sc in the next st. ch1, turn (3sc)
Row 2: sc in the first 2 sts, 2sc in the last st. ch1, turn (4sc)
Row 3: sc in each st. ch1, turn
Row 4: 3sc in the first st, sc in the next 2 sts, 2sc in the last st (7sc)
Row 5: sc in the first 6sts, 3sc in the last st (9sc)
Row 6: 3sc in the first st, sc in the next 7 sts, 2sc in the last st (12sc)
Rows 7 - 8: (2 rows) sc in each st
Row 9: 2sc in the first st, sc in the next 11 sts (13sc)
Rows 10 - 12: (3 rows) sc in each st
Row 13: sc in the first 5 sts. ch1, turn (5sc)
Row 14: sc3tog, sc in the next 2 sts . ch1, turn (3sc)
Row 15: sc in the first st, sc2tog. ch1, turn (2sc)
Row 16: sc2tog (1sc)
Fasten off
re-join yarn to row 12 to the next stitch after this section
Row 13: sc in the same st and the next 3 sts. ch1, turn (4sc)
Row 14: sc2tog twice. ch1, turn (2sc)
Row 15:sc2tog (1sc)
Fasten off
re-join yarn once more to row 12, joining to the next st after the section you have just made.
Row 13: sc2tog twice (crocheting into the remaining stitches left on rown 12). ch1, turn (2sc)
Row 14: sc2tog (1sc)
Fasten off
Rows 7 - 8: (2 rows) sc in each st
Row 9: 2sc in the first st, sc in the next 11 sts (13sc)
Rows 10 - 12: (3 rows) sc in each st
Row 13: sc in the first 5 sts. ch1, turn (5sc)
Row 14: sc3tog, sc in the next 2 sts . ch1, turn (3sc)
Row 15: sc in the first st, sc2tog. ch1, turn (2sc)
Row 16: sc2tog (1sc)
Fasten off
re-join yarn to row 12 to the next stitch after this section
Row 13: sc in the same st and the next 3 sts. ch1, turn (4sc)
Row 14: sc2tog twice. ch1, turn (2sc)
Row 15:sc2tog (1sc)
Fasten off
re-join yarn once more to row 12, joining to the next st after the section you have just made.
Row 13: sc2tog twice (crocheting into the remaining stitches left on rown 12). ch1, turn (2sc)
Row 14: sc2tog (1sc)
Fasten off
Sew these wings onto the sides of the body of your bat.
For the feet (make 2):
For the toes (make 5 for each foot):
Ch5
Fasten off
For each foot sew all of these toes together and one end and then sew them to the bottom of the body.

For the ears (make 2):
make a magic loop with 4sc

Round 1: sc in each st (4sc)

Sew these ears to the top of the head
For the muzzle:
ch 3
Round 1: sc in the 2nd st from hook, 3sc in the next ch st, then make 2sc in the back of the first chain st you crocheted into
Round 2: sc in each st
Fasten off
Sew this to the face, then use black yarn to embroider eyes onto the head just above the muzzle. Finally use white yarn to add detail to the eyes.
For the muzzle:
ch 3
Round 1: sc in the 2nd st from hook, 3sc in the next ch st, then make 2sc in the back of the first chain st you crocheted into
Round 2: sc in each st
Fasten off
Sew this to the face, then use black yarn to embroider eyes onto the head just above the muzzle. Finally use white yarn to add detail to the eyes.
