This pattern was designed as part of a series of bears I made to celebrate pride month. If you're interested in the other patterns I made during this time, check out the LGBTQ+ label, which can be found to the right of this post. This pattern details an outfit that's designed to fit the little bear from my little animals collection, but it will also fit onto most of the other animals in that collection.

Sew this to the neckline of the dress, then fold down the top corners on the front edge of the dress to make a sort of extension of the collar. Hold these in place using a few small stitches.

Rounds 2 - 4: (3 rounds) Sc in each st
Fasten off
Sew these to the armholes of the dress
After this take a length of purple yarn and make straight lines of stiching down the inside of the skirt section, in order to keep the pleats in place.
You now need to use the white 4ply yarn to add the stripes to the dress. This is done by passing the yarn just underneath the very top of the crochet, so that it stays in place but is still very visible.
I started by sewing around the skirt section of the dress making equidistant concentric circles, and working up to the bodice of the dress. I also added to a round of stitching around the edge of each of the sleeves.
I then added the vertical stripes, putting one row of stitching in the centre of each of the pleats, an continuing this up to the bodice.
For the belt:
With yellow 4ply yarn ch2
Row 1: sci n the2nd chain st from hook. ch1, turn
Rows 2 - 27: (26 rows) sc in this st. ch1, turn
Row 28: sc in this st
For the buckle:
Take a length of craft wire and fold over a length 1cm long 90 degrees to the rest of the wire. Make another 90 degree turn 0.5cm from the previous one. Make a third turn 1cm away from the previous one, so that the wire folds back to make a square. A fourth 90 degree turn should be made 1cm away from the third one, so that the wire is folded down parallel to the end part of the wire. The next turn should be made 1cm away from this one, so that the wire forms a sort of square figure of eight shape.
The wire should then be folded at 90 degrees 0.5cm away from the previous turn, such that it is in the same position as the end centimetre of the wire. Finally the wire should be folded over the top of the buckle and back on itself down the central part. The shape of the buckle can be seen in the image below
After the buckle has been made you should sew one end of the belt to its central partition (where both ends of the wire are)
Wrap the belt around the waist of the bear, and pass the free end through the buckle to secure it, as shown below.
