bikini for Little animals

This bikini will fit any of my 'Little' animals



Difficulty:


easy - medium

You will need:

  • 4ply yarn in the colour you want to make your bikini
  • a 2mm crochet hook

For the bikini top:
fsc53
Row 1: slip the first 23sts, hdc in the next 3sts, skip the next st, hdc in the next 3sts, slip the last 11sts
Fasten off

rejoin yarn to the 11th st of last row
Row 2: hdc in the first 4 sts, slip 1. ch1, turn
Row 3: hdc in the first st, hdc2tog, hdc in the next st. ch1, turn
Row 4: hdc3tog
ch20
fasten off

Rejon yarn to the 2nd st after this section (onto row 1)
Row 2: hdc in the first 4 sts, slip 1. ch1, turn
Row 3: hdc in the first st, hdc2tog, hdc in the next st. ch1, turn
Row 4: hdc3tog
ch20
fasten off

For the bikini bottoms:
fsc17
Row 1: slip the first 2 sts, sc in the next 15sts, slip the last 2 sts. ch1, turn
Row 2: skip the first st, slip the 2ns st, sc2tog, sc in the next 11 sts, sc2tog. ch1, turn (13sc)
Row 3: sc2tog, sc in the next 9 sts, sc2tog. ch1, turn (11sc)
Row 4: sc2tog, sc in the next 7 sts, sc2tog. ch1, turn (9sc)
Row 5: sc2tog, sc in the next 5 sts, sc2tog. ch1, turn (7sc)
Row 6: sc2tog, sc in the next 3 sts, sc2tog. ch1, turn (5sc)
Row 7: sc2tog, sc in the next st, sc2tog. ch1, turn (3sc)
Rows 8 - 12: (5 rows) sc in each st. ch1, turn (3sc)
Row 13: 2sc in the first st, sc in the next st, 2sc in the last st. ch1, turn (5sc)
Row 14: 2sc in the first st, sc in the next 3 sts, 2sc in the last st. ch1, turn (7sc)
Row 15: 2sc in the first st, sc in the next 5 sts, 2sc in the last st. ch1, turn (9sc)
Row 16: 2sc in the first st, sc in the next 7 sts, 2sc in the last st. ch1, turn (11sc)
Row 17: 2sc in the first st, sc in the next 9 sts, 2sc in the last st. ch1, turn (13sc)
Row 18: 2sc in the first st, sc in the next 11 sts, 2sc in the last st. ch3 (15sc)
Row 19: sc in the 2nd st from hook, sc to end, fsc2
Fasten off

Finally sew the edges of the bikini bottoms together, then thread a length of yarn along the top front edge and back edge, before tying them at the sides.
