Pyjamas for little bear

These pyjamas are made to fit my little bear, but will also fit any of my other 'little' animals.



Difficulty:

Easy - Medium

You will need:

  • 2mm crochet hook
  • light blue dk yarn
  • 4 small blue buttons
  • A scrap of yarn the same shade as the buttons (optional)
  • Darning needle
  • Sewing needle and thread to sew the buttons on





For the pyjama top:
fsc36
Row 1: sc in the first st, ch1, skip the next st, sc to end. ch1, turn
Row 2: sc in each st. ch1, turn (when you get to the ch st sc into the space instead of the chain)
Row 3: sc in the first st, ch1, skip the next st, sc to end. ch1, turn
Row 4: sc in each st. ch1, turn (when you get to the ch st sc into the space instead of the chain)
Row 5: sc in the first st, ch1, skip the next st, sc to end. ch1, turn
Row 6: sc in each st. ch1, turn (when you get to the ch st sc into the space instead of the chain)
Row 7: sc in the first st, ch1, skip the next st, sc to end. ch1, turn
Row 8: sc2tog, sc in the next 4 sts, to end. ch1, turn (when you get to the ch st sc into the space instead of the chain) (30sc)
Row 9: sc in the first 6 sts, ch6, skip 6 sts from base of ch, sc in the next 6 sts, ch6, skip 6 sts from base of chain, sc in the last 6 sts, turn
Row 10: slip the first 3 sts, hdc in the back loops of the next 24 sts (or chain sts), slip the last 3 sts, turn
Row 12: slip the first 3 sts, hdc in both loops of the next 24 sts (or chain sts), slip the last 3 sts
Fasten off

For the sleeves (make 2):
fsc16
Round 1: (start from the first st of the row) sc in the first 6 sts, sc2tog, rep to end (14sc)
Round 2: sc in each st
Round 3: sc in the first 5 sts, sc2tog, rep to end (12sc)
Rounds 4 - 5: (2 rounds) sc in each st
Row 6: sc in the first 6 sts. ch1, turn
Row 7: sc in each st. ch1, turn
Round 8: ss in 12 sts around
Fasten off

Sew the sleeves to the armholes and the sew the buttons onto the side opposite the buttonholes, making sure that they line up.

For the pyjama bottoms:
fsc 28
Round 1: sc in the first st of the of the row,  sc in each st to end. ch1, turn (28sc)
Rows 2 - 7: (6 rounds) sc in each st. ch1, turn
Round 8: sc in each st
Round 9: join to the other side, sc in each st around
Round 10: sc in the first 2 sts, ch 7, skip 13 sts from base of chain, sc in the last 12 sts
Rounds 11 - 19: (9 rounds) sc in each st (21sc)
Fasten off

Rejoin the yarn to round 9, just after where you crocheted round 10 before

Round 10: sc in the first 14 sts, ch7, rejoin yarn to start of round (21sts)
Rounds 11 - 19: (9 rounds) sc in each st (21sc)

Thread a length of yarn around the top of the trousers and tie it to tighten them.
