Pokemon - Oddish

My brother asked me if I could make this pokemon character for him as he's really into pokemon at the moment.

You will need:

• Blue and green dk yarn
• A scrap of dark pink and light pink dk yarn
• Black and white embroidery thread
• 3mm crochet hook
• Toy stuffing
• A darning needle

For the body:
With blue yarn make a magic ring with 6sc
Round 1: 2sc in each st (12sc)
Round 2: sc in the first st, 2sc in the net st, rep to end (18sc)
Round 3: sc in the first 2 sts, sc in the next st, rep to end (24sc)
Round 4: sc in the first 3 sts, sc in the next st, rep to end (30sc)
Round 5: sc in the first 4 sts, sc in the next st, rep to end (36sc)
Rounds 6 - 11: (6 rows) sc in each st (36sc)
Round 12: sc in the first 4 sts, sc2tog, rep to end (30sc)
Round 13: sc in the first 3 sts, sc2tog, rep to end (24sc)
Round 14: sc in the first 2 sts, sc2tog, rep to end (18sc)
Round 15: sc in the first st, sc2tog, rep to end (12sc)
Round 16: sc2tog to end (6sc)
Round 17: sc2tog twice (4sc)
fasten off

For the feet (make 2):
With blue yarn ch5
Round 1: sc in 2nd st from hook, sc in the next 2 ch sts, 3sc in the last ch, sc in next 2 sts up other side of ch, 2sc in the st that you crocheted into at the start of the row. (10sc)
Round 2: 2sc in the fist st, sc in the next st, 2sc in the next 3 sts, sc in the next 2 sts, 2sc in the next 2 sts. (16sc)
Rounds 3 - 4: (2 rounds) sc in each st (16sc)
Round 5: sc2tog, sc in the next 10 sts, sc2tog twice

Round 6: sc2tog, slip 9, sc4tog (This uses 2 sts of the next round)
Fasten off

Stuff the feet and the sew them to the base of the body

For the leaves:
With blue yarn make a magic ring with 6sc
Round 1: 2sc in each st (12sc)
Round 2: sc in the first st, 2sc in the net st, rep to end (18sc)
Round 3: sc in the first 2 sts, sc in the next st, rep to end (24sc)
Rounds 4- 7: (4 rows) sc in each st (24sc)
Round 8: sc in the first 4 sts, sc2tog, rep to end (20sc)
Round 9: sc in each st (20sc)
Round 10: sc in the first 3 sts, sc2tog, rep to end (16sc)
Round 11: sc in each st (16sc)
Round 12: sc in the first 2 sts, sc2tog, rep to end (12sc)
Round 13: sc in each st (12sc)
Round 14: sc in the first st, sc2tog, rep to end (8sc)
Round 15 : sc in each st (8sc)
Round 16: sc2tog to end (4sc)
Round 17: sc in each st (4sc)
Fasten off

For the mouth:
With light pink make a magic ring with 3sc. sc into the side of the last st you lade, sc into the magic ring, sc into the side of the first st you made. Fasten off

For the eyes (make 2):
with dark pink ch3. sc into the 2nd st from hook, 3sc in the last ch st, 2sc into the other side of the first ch st that you crocheted into. Fasten off

sew the eyes and mouth to the body, making sure the eyes are slanted slightly towards each other and use the black embroidery thread to sew around the edge of the features. Finally embroider a white star into the top half of the eyes.
